  • Apoy

We are a Filipino restaurant in Minneapolis started by three friends with creative minds. We named it "Apoy." Apoy is the word for "fire" in Tagalog, the main dialect of the Philippines. If you are pronouncing "Tagalog" as if it's a schoolyard game you would play with a piece of lumber, you are saying it wrong. We are located in South Minneapolis on 43rd and Nicollet, taking over the spot of the once beloved Anodyne Coffee, so we've got some big shoes to fill. We're currently under construction but plan to be open by the end of July! We will have indoor and outdoor seating as well as a beer and wine bar. We also plan on having occasional live entertainment and communal events. Keep track of us on our news page or like us on Facebook. Hope to see and feed you soon!
  • Broders Cucina Italiana

Broders' was inspired by a trip to Bologna, Italy. This first serious trip to Italy complete with cooking classes changed the way we thought about food and the way we cook. We discovered that the roots of Italian cuisine lie in rustic, uncomplicated peasant cooking but that, as with so many things Italian, it is synthesized to the point of pure, heavenly art. Its unparalleled flavor is a result of integrity to fresh, indigenous ingredients through simplicity of preparation.

  • WellCova LLC

Asma Siddiqi WellCova sip@wellcova.com An Old way to Put Yourself First. A female physician, BIPOC-owned Holistic Tea Company is made. Twin Cities, MN WellCova today announced their new holistic tea line. Made by a physician with health and wellness at the core of the company. WellCova was created to bring back the art of tea and all of its natural benefits. WellCova offers a new way for busy people to implement self-care rituals into their lives while staying healthy and conscious of what you put in your body. “After a year filled with challenges and uncertainty, I found myself relying on the daily ritual of tea-drinking as a moment of peace and refuge. I thought about how I might be able to share some of my family recipes through this comforting routine. Although perhaps unconventional for a physician to start a tea company, I understand innately that health and well-being is an intimate connection with our higher selves—and I felt that I could create products that would support anyone, regardless of where they are on their journey toward wellness. Feel good about taking time for yourself while improving wellness at the same time. With five different organic teas to choose from, there is something for everyone. WellCova is available for purchase on their online store Linden Hills and Lakewinds Coop. For more information on WellCova, visit www.wellcova.com or find them on Instagram, Facebook & Pinterest @WellCova. About WellCova: Our mission is to nourish the body, soul, and spirit through the daily ritual of tea- drinking while providing a deep sense of well-being, peace of mind, and hope for all of humankind.
